About Rugby with Keep Calm
Rugby has a genuine home in Barcelona and the wider Catalonia region — it's actually one of Spain's strongest rugby areas, with clubs playing in Spanish domestic competitions and a long-running local scene of players and supporters. If you've played back home and want to get on a pitch here, or just watch a match with fellow fans, the sport itself is very real in this city.
Keep Calm doesn't currently run a dedicated rugby group or organise sessions, though. Across our roughly 20 activity groups — covering everything from padel to combat sports — rugby isn't one we've set up yet. If you want an English-speaking rugby community specifically, existing Catalan and Spanish clubs are a better first stop for actually training or playing.
What we can offer is Keep Calm Miscellaneous — our catch-all WhatsApp group for exactly this kind of gap. It's where members post about interests and activities that don't have their own dedicated group yet, including one-off games, meetups, or just a chat about local clubs.
