Welcome to Keep Calm Football! To keep things fun and fair for everyone, please follow these guidelines.
These rules add to - but don't replace - our community-wide policies. Please read these first if you haven't already:
- WhatsApp Rules - group communication, unsolicited DMs, referral links, spam
- Community Conduct - respect, harassment, advertising, conflict resolution
- Event Rules - commitment, cancellations, the strike system
- Safety & Liability - participation at your own risk, the 18+ age requirement
You must be 18 or over to take part. Keep Calm is an adults-only community.
1. Attendance
- If you say you're playing, show up
- Football needs even numbers, so dropping out last minute can ruin the game for everyone
- If your plans change, let the group know as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot
- Repeated no-shows affect the whole group and may cost you your place (see the strike system in the Event Rules)
2. Fair Play
- Keep it friendly - no reckless tackles or aggressive play
- All skill levels play together, so be patient and inclusive
- Rotate teams and mix things up so games stay even
- Arguments over calls? Sort it quickly and move on
3. Payment
- The pitch is hired and the cost is split equally among the players
- Pay your share promptly - don't leave others to cover your cost
- If you confirm and then cancel last minute, you may still owe your share, since the pitch is booked and paid for either way

4. Safety
- Wear appropriate footwear for the surface (astros or trainers for hard courts and fútbol sala, boots for grass or 3G)
- Warm up before playing
- Bring water and stay hydrated
- Shin pads are recommended
- If you're injured, don't push through - sit one out
5. Right Footwear for the Surface
- Some indoor and fútbol sala venues do not allow studded boots - check the announcement
- Wrong footwear can damage the pitch and get the group barred, so take it seriously
- If you're unsure what to wear, ask in the group before the session
6. Be Sound
- Welcome newcomers and get them involved in the game
- Keep the banter friendly and inclusive
- Help collect bibs, balls, and any kit at the end
- Respect the venue, the staff, and other users of the pitch
