Tennis at Up Pádel & Tennis Cornellà

Up Pádel & Tennis Cornellà is a large tennis and padel complex in Cornellà de Llobregat, with clay and hard courts.

We play here. Our English-speaking doubles group plays here every Tuesday evening, 18:00 to 21:00, and pays around EUR 8 per person. Courts are booked through Playtomic from a weekly poll, and there is a strict attendance policy so bookings stay fair: if you sign up, you need to be able to come.

About it

Most people picture tennis in Barcelona as a members' club with a waiting list. Up Pádel & Tennis Cornellà is the opposite: a big public-facing complex where you can book a court by the hour on an app, with no membership, and choose between clay and quick (hard) surfaces.

That is why our Tuesday doubles group is based here. With more than twenty tennis courts there are almost always several free at any evening slot, and the club is set up for casual bookings rather than members only.

The choice of surface matters more than newcomers expect. Clay is slower and kinder on the knees, and it is what most people here learn on. The quick courts are cheaper per hour and play faster, closer to the hard courts many visitors grew up on.

Getting there

It is in Cornellà de Llobregat, a separate town next to Barcelona, reachable by metro line L5 or the Trambaix tram. Allow extra time on a weekday evening and check the last walk from the stop in a journey planner.

Best for

Casual doubles with a regular group, and anyone who wants to try clay without joining a club.
