Yes! Keep Calm Community is one of Barcelona's largest English-speaking sports and social communities. We organise regular activities including padel, running, hiking, volleyball, tennis, ping pong, football, and yoga — all in English. Our members come from all over the world and communicate primarily in English.
Joining a sports community like Keep Calm is one of the easiest ways to meet people in Barcelona. Our WhatsApp groups make it simple to find activities happening every week. You just join a group, show up, and play — no experience needed. Sports break down social barriers quickly, so you'll make genuine friends faster than at a typical networking event.
Absolutely. A large number of our members joined within their first weeks of arriving in Barcelona. The community is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, so whether you just moved to the city yesterday or have been here for years, you'll feel at home. Many long-lasting friendships in our community started on someone's very first event.
No. Keep Calm Community operates entirely in English. All event organisation, group chats, and activities are conducted in English. You don't need to speak Spanish or Catalan to participate and enjoy everything the community has to offer.
We offer a wide range of sports and activities: padel, running, hiking, volleyball, tennis, ping pong, football, and yoga. Activities take place across Barcelona in areas like Barceloneta, Poblenou, Eixample, and nearby mountain trails. New sports and activities are added regularly based on member interest.
Joining is free and takes less than a minute. Simply visit our website, choose the sport or activity you're interested in, and click the link to join the corresponding WhatsApp group. That's it — you'll start seeing upcoming events and can sign up for your first activity straight away.
Yes, joining the community is completely free. There are no membership fees or subscriptions. Some individual activities may have a small cost to cover venue hire or equipment (for example, padel court rental is split among players), but the community itself is free to join and participate in.
