Post-Brexit admin
Since Brexit, Brits need a visa or residency route to stay beyond 90 days (the non-lucrative and digital-nomad visas are the common ones), plus an NIE and a padrón once you land. Plenty of people in our groups have just done it and are happy to share what actually worked — always double-check current rules with official sources.
Finding your feet
Gràcia, Poblenou and Sant Antoni are perennial favourites with newer arrivals. Ask in the community — people share flat leads, gestor recommendations and the 'wish I'd known' stuff that saves you weeks.
Staying active
Brits in our community gravitate to volleyball, padel and yoga (going by who actually shows up). All levels, no club fees — just turn up and play.

Is Keep Calm only for British people?
Not at all — we're an all-nationalities, English-speaking community. This page is just a friendly welcome for Brits, but you'll meet people from all over the world in every group.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Keep Calm is free and not-for-profit, run by volunteers. You only ever pay for things like court hire or your own drinks, split with the group.
I barely speak any Spanish — is that a problem?
Not here. Everything is organised in English, so you can join and take part from day one. Many members pick up Spanish over time, but it's never a requirement.
How do I actually join?
