About it
CEM Bogatell is a municipal sports complex in Poblenou, and among the council-owned pitches it is unusual in one respect: its own website says groups can rent a pitch. Most municipal grounds in Barcelona are run by clubs for league football and are much harder for a casual group to get onto.
That makes it the one to look at if you have your own group of players and want to hire a pitch rather than join someone else's game. We have not run sessions here, so this page is a guide to the facility and not a recommendation of a particular slot.
It shares its name with Bogatell beach, which is in the same part of Poblenou, so people sometimes confuse the two. The complex is a sports centre; the beach is where the volleyball courts are.
Getting there
It is in Poblenou, on the east side of the city. The area is served by the L4 metro and the Trambesòs tram, and is an easy flat cycle along the seafront. Check the exact stop and walk in a journey planner.
