Football at La Satalia
La Satalia is a municipal football pitch on Montjuïc, in the Poble-sec area of Sants-Montjuïc.
We play here. Our Friday football runs here in three kickoffs by level: 18:00 Beginner, 19:00 Improver and 20:00 Intermediate. Games are booked through the Vaya Sports app, which supplies bibs and balls, an on-site organiser and takes payment (a few euros). Teams are mixed on the day and everyone is 18+.

About it
La Satalia is a city-owned pitch up on the Montjuïc side of Poble-sec, and it is where our Friday football has been played. It is not a commercial five-a-side centre: it is a municipal ground, which means it is run by a local association and the slots are shared between clubs, schools and groups like ours.
The reason it works for us is the setting and the layout. Three kickoffs in a row let us split players by level, so a first-timer is not thrown in against someone who has played for years, and the pitch has views over the city while the sun goes down.
You do not need to book the pitch yourself. The Vaya Sports app handles the slot, the bibs and the payment, and an organiser is on site, so the only thing to arrange is turning up in shoes suited to the surface.
Getting there
The nearest metro stops are Poble Sec and Paral·lel (both on L3, Paral·lel also on L2). From either it is a short but uphill walk onto Montjuïc, so leave time. Different directories give different street numbers for the entrance, so use the map pin shared in the football group rather than an address you found online.
Best for
A first game. The split by level means beginners play with beginners, and the organiser is there to sort the teams.
Questions
Do I need a team to play at La Satalia?
No. Teams are mixed on the day by the organiser, so you can turn up alone.
How do I pay?
Through the Vaya Sports app when you confirm your spot. It is a few euros per player and there is no separate Keep Calm fee.
Which kickoff should I pick if I am a beginner?
The 18:00 game is the Beginner one. The 19:00 game is Improver and the 20:00 game is Intermediate.
Can I book La Satalia on my own?
It is a municipal pitch run by a local association, so there is no public booking page. Joining an organised game is the easy way to play on it.
