Many Keep Calm events involve a drink, from post-game beers to dinners and parties. We want these to stay fun, friendly, and safe.
The basics
- Keep Calm is an adults-only (18+) community.
- Drinking is always optional. Plenty of members do not drink, and socials are just as much for them.
- You are responsible for your own drinking and your own way home.
Drink responsibly
- Know your limits and pace yourself.
- Never feel pressured to drink, and never pressure anyone else.
- Look out for each other. If someone has had too much or seems unwell or vulnerable, help them or tell an organiser.
- Do not drive after drinking. Plan a safe way home.
Conduct still applies
Drinking is not an excuse for behaviour that breaches Community Conduct. Harassment, aggression, or making others feel unsafe is taken just as seriously at a social as at a session, and can lead to removal from the community.
Drugs
Illegal drug use is not part of Keep Calm events. Anyone using or supplying illegal drugs at an event may be removed.
Venues
At bars, restaurants, and clubs, follow the venue's rules and respect their staff. Any tab or minimum spend is between you and the venue. See Payments, Refunds & Cancellation.
Getting home
Think about your route home before the night gets late, especially if public transport stops running. Share a taxi with others where you can, and let someone know you got home safely.
