Keep Calm is an adults-only community. This policy explains the age requirement and why it exists.
You must be 18 or over
You must be 18 or over to take part in any Keep Calm activity, including sports sessions, social events, and trips, and to be a member of our WhatsApp groups.
Why
We are a volunteer-run community with no insurance and no formal supervision, coordinated through WhatsApp, and many of our socials take place at venues that serve alcohol. We are not set up to safely include minors, so we make no exceptions, including for accompanied minors.
How we apply it
- Organisers will ask anyone they reasonably believe to be under 18 to confirm their age.
- Anyone who cannot confirm they are 18 or over will be turned away from the activity and may be removed from the groups.
- Bringing a guest is your responsibility; guests must also be 18 or over. See Payments, Refunds & Cancellation for how guests are handled at paid sessions.
Safeguarding adults
Although we are adults-only, we still care about each other's wellbeing.
- If you are concerned that someone is vulnerable, at risk, or being treated badly, tell an organiser.
- Serious concerns about someone's safety should go to the emergency services (112 in Spain) first, and then to an organiser.
- Conduct that targets or exploits anyone is dealt with under Community Conduct and can lead to removal from the community.
