About Beach Volleyball with Keep Calm
Keep Calm Volleyball is a genuinely dedicated beach volleyball group — this isn't an adjacent sport standing in for the real thing, it's exactly what it sounds like. English-speaking expats, internationals and locals get together to play 5-a-side on Barcelona's beaches, with regular Saturday games from 16:00 to 19:00 alongside ad-hoc meetups the rest of the week.
Games rotate between Nova Icaria, Somorrostro and Bogatell beaches, and everything you need is already sorted: the net and balls are brought along by organiser Mario, so you genuinely just need to show up. Games run 5v5 with a cap of 12 players per slot, which keeps the rotation fair and the level of play enjoyable rather than chaotic.
It's organised by Chris, Mario and Nix, and completely free — no court fees, no equipment to buy, no Keep Calm membership. Bring sunscreen, water and something you don't mind getting sandy, and you're set.
