This is the short summary of what you agree to when you take part in any Keep Calm activity, whether a sports session, a social event, or a trip. Each point links to the full policy with the detail behind it.
By signing up for, or turning up to, a Keep Calm activity, you confirm that you have read and accept the following.
1. You are 18 or over
Keep Calm is an adults-only community. You must be 18 or over to take part in any activity. See Safeguarding & 18+ Age Policy.
2. You take part at your own risk
Keep Calm is a volunteer-run community, not a professional or insured sports organisation. We coordinate activities but we do not provide insurance, medical cover, supervision, or any guarantee of safety. You are responsible for your own wellbeing, fitness, equipment, and decisions. 3. You are fit to participate
You confirm you are in good enough health for the activity, that you have considered any injuries or conditions, and that you will play within your limits. See Health, Fitness & Medical Disclaimer.
4. You accept how injuries and emergencies are handled
You know that organisers are not first-aiders, that the emergency number in Spain is 112, and that you should inform an organiser after any incident. See Incident & Emergency Procedure.
5. You agree to our code of conduct
You will treat everyone with respect, keep sessions inclusive and welcoming, and follow organiser decisions. Harassment, discrimination, and unsafe or aggressive behaviour are not tolerated and can mean removal from the community. See Community Conduct.
6. You consent to photography and media (with an opt-out)
Photos and videos are often taken at sessions and may be shared by Keep Calm on social media and our website. Unless you tell us otherwise, your image may be used. You can opt out or ask for a photo to be removed at any time. See Photography & Media Consent.
7. You understand how your data is used
We collect only what we need to run the community and handle it in line with GDPR. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your data. See Data & Privacy and Website Privacy & Cookies.
8. You accept how shared costs work
Many sessions are paid by splitting a venue or court cost. If you confirm a place and then drop out late, you may still owe your share. See Payments, Refunds & Cancellation.
9. You will drink responsibly at socials
Where alcohol is involved, you are responsible for yourself, you will look out for others, and you will arrange your own safe way home. See Alcohol & Social Events.
How acceptance is recorded
We do not ask for a signature for everyday sessions. Acceptance is given by participation: by signing up through a form or poll, or by attending an activity, you accept this agreement and the linked policies.
- Sign-up forms may include a tick box confirming you accept these policies.
- For certain trips or special events, we may ask you to accept explicitly or sign a separate waiver.
- The current version always lives at
keepcalm.fit/policies. We will announce significant changes in the community groups.
If you do not agree
That is completely fine, but it means Keep Calm activities are not the right fit, as these terms are how we are able to run safely as volunteers. If anything here is unclear, ask an organiser before taking part.
